By winning the Qatar Championship today, the Polish player increases her tally to 18 titles in her professional career, including four Grand Slam titles, with three French Open titles in 2020, 2022, and 2023, and a single title in the US Open in 2022.

With today's victory over the Kazakh player, Świątek secured two wins compared to three victories for her opponent, Rybakina.

The 22-year-old Polish player started her Qatar title defense campaign from the second round and won all her matches in straight sets without losing any throughout the tournament. She began her participation with a win against the Romanian Sorana Cirstea, then defeated the Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova in the third round. In the quarterfinals, she overcame the veteran Belarusian player, who won the Qatar title in 2012 and 2013. In the semifinals, she advanced without playing as her Czech opponent, Plíšková, withdrew due to injury. Today, she defeated the Kazakh player, Rybakina, in straight sets as well.

On the other hand, the 24-year-old Kazakh player failed to clinch her first title in Qatar and her eighth in her professional career. She has only won one major title at Wimbledon in 2022 and finished as the runner-up in the Australian Open in 2023.
