At ITF Juniors (U18) Tournament held in Amman, the pair of Issa shanan and Abdallah Shanan from Qatar could qualify to the quarterfinal of the doubles competitions after beating the team of Kioshanan Nyte from India and Dawoud Hashim from Kuwait, with a result of 6-4, 6-4.
Our National Junior Team took place in the Arab Tennis Tournament held in Morocco from August 8th to 18t, 2014. The team includes Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, Jassem Al Mahmoud, Tamim Ahmed, Mohammed Al Sumaiti, Rayyan Al Juffairi, Hassan Al Obaidly, Amna Hmoud and Dana Al Mudahki who will be all participating in both singles and teams competitions.
In celebration of mid-Ramadan, Qatar Tennis Federation hosted the Garangao night on Saturday, July 17th, 2014 at Al Jiwan Ballroom in Al Dana Club. Kids enjoyed the different entertainment and sport games activities. In their traditional and colourful oufits, kids collected the Garangao sweets in well designed bags while singing the Grangao traditional song.
