Jelena Jankovic Secures spot in the semifinals

Jelena Jankovic booked her spot in the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2009 after defeating Caroline Wozniacki.
Eight seed, Jankovic only needed 68 minutes to win 6-2, 6-2 over a visibly exhausted Wozniacki. Jankovic looked in superb shape and very fresh, but it was definitely not the same situation for her opponent who made 22 errors during the match.
Wozniacki’s previous meeting against Vera Zvonareva was not easy either, but eventually she won in a long three-setter. The day before she rallied to beat Victoria Azarenka in another long three-setter.
"I didn't have anything left. I couldn't play like I wanted to," the Dane said. "I definitely feel like I deserve to make it to the semis, but I did everything I could, and I fought the best I could. If I don't get there, it's just bad luck. It's the way it's supposed to be. I still have many more years in front of me."
The other semifinal berth in the White Group came down to the third match on Friday, with Azarenka falling to alternate Agnieszka Radwanska, thus allowing Wozniacki to move on to the final four.
