Amir Bayoumy wins 2nd smash academy championships 2010

Scripting by far the most exciting win of the 2nd SMASH Academy Championships 2010, Amir Bayoumy was crowned the champion of the mens singles competition which was the last final of the event.
The mens’ final was held at the courts of the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Wednesday night, giving the crow an incredible display of great tennis.  Amir Bayoumy beat Haider Kadhem by 76(6) 75.

Both players were in superb form and in full control of the game from the start making it very on each other on the court. Amir and Haider struggled to keep up with each other’s strength and power.
In the first set Amir and Haider struggled to retain their service game. Amir started to fight back leading the first set to a tie break which he eventually won.
 
The second set saw Amir breaking Haider’s service game to lead 2-1. Haider then recovered and fought back, but his efforts were in vain as he ultimately gave into Amir’s game losing the second set 7-5.
After the exhilarating final all players from the 2nd SMASH Academy Championship took over the court to be presented with their respective trophies and prize money. High representative of the Qatar Tennis Federation participated in the ceremony and proudly proceed to award the winners.
