Qatar Tennis Federation Celebrates National Sports Day

On the occasion of National Sport Day, Qatar Tennis Federation, led by H.E Nasser Bin Ghanim Al-Khelaifi, takes pride to announce various events all over Doha to showcase sport and fitness.

From 11th to 14th February 2014, QTF holds and event at the old Doha International Airport from 9 am to 9 pm. It includes mini tennis court and valuable gift distribution.

Katara Beach will also see one of QTF’s events on Feb 11th where there will be four mini tennis courts to teach the basics of tennis under the supervision of QTF’s coaches and gift distribution from 10 am to 4:00 pm.

Also on the 11th, QTF holds an event at Ezdan Mall from 4 pm to 8 pm where there will be 2 mini courts and gifts distribution.

In co-ordination with the Ministry of Municipality, QTF’s holds an event at Al Dafna Park (Sheraton Park) from 9:00 am to 2.30 pm which includes the same activities.

Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex will host one of the biggest events on the National Sport day. It will include multiple activities like mini-tennis courts, a huge Kid's Zone equipped with trampolines and slides, in addition to a stage where many entertainment shows will be displayed to amuse spectators in addition to the participating of some WTA players who are in Doha for the Qatar Total Open 2014, who will be there to play with kids and take pictures with them.

The QTF’s event which began on the 6th February in the co-ordination with Qatar Olympic Committee at the QOC Zone near the General Post Office will also continue on the National Sport Day from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The event welcomes people from all around Qatar from the age of four and above.

All these endeavors carried out by the Qatar Tennis Federation aim to support the goal of the Heir Apparent, H.H.Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani - of adding this day to the holiday roster of the country in order to increase the awareness about the importance of practicing sports in society. This is all in line with the strategy of the QTF to promote the game and increase the popularity of tennis in the country.
