Adrien Bossel of Switzerland won the 2nd Qatar ITF Futures which concluded Friday evening at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The No. 8 seed defeated No. 4 seed, Oliver Golding of Great Britain, 6-4, 6-1 for the championship.
In doubles, No. 1 seeds, Chen Ti of Taipei and Ruan Roelofse of South Africa, defeated No. 3 seeds Luke Bambridge of Great Britain and Antoine Benneteau of France, 6-4, 6-3.
Tournament Director, Saad Al Mohannadi, said, "We saw intensive competition during this second week of ITF futures events. The performances by the players reached the highest levels and we are so happy for the results achieved by our national team players Moussa and Mubarak Shanan in both singles and doubles. They were not too lucky to reach finals but we are pretty sure that they will do so one day.”
The trophy presentation took place after the final match. In attendance were Saad Al Mohannadi, Tournament Director; Dr. Ashraf Hamouda, ITF Supervisor; Ehab Awad, Administrative Supervisor; and a number of media representatives.
