Qatar Futures meet begins

The competitions of the Qatar Futures organized by the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) began at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex on Monday.

A regular fixture on the ITF international circuit, the Futures tournament is quickly gaining traction with the number of participating players increasing with each edition.

The event features the participation of 32 players in singles event and 16 teams in doubles event. The participating players represent India, Russia, Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Tunisia, Slovakia, Czech, USA, Italy and Hosts Qatar.

In the Singles event, Qatar will be presented by Moussa, Abdullah, Mubarak and Essa Shanan while Rayyan Al Jefairi will compete in Doubles event.
In the Singles eve

Saad Al-Mohannadi, the QTF Executive Director and the Tournament Director, said, “The QTF is ready to organize a new successful edition of the tournament that live up to the expectations”

 “The tournament attracts a large number of players who are seeking to gain more points on the ITF and ATP Tours.” Al Mohannadi added.

The QTF Executive Director wished the Qatari players achieve good results as the tournament  will let them acquire more experience.
