Curtains come down on Qatar F1 Futures

The seventh seed KarlovskiyEvgeny of Russia claimed the singles title after beating Bossel Adrien of Switzerland 7-6(4) 6-3 in the final match.

 

In Doubles event, Antoine Bellier of Switzerland and Benjamin Bonzi of France won the title after beating Daniel Cox of Great Britain and MilosSekulicof Sweden 6-3 6-2   in the final match.

 

Tariq Zainal, the QTF Assistant Secretary General, Saad Al Mohannadi, the QTF Executive Director attended the closing ceremony and handed over the trophies to the winners.

 

With 10,000 USD for grabbing, the event featured the participation of players from India, Russia, Ireland, Great Britain, France, Tunisia, Slovakia, Czech, USA, Italy and Hosts Qatar.

 

On the other hand, Qatar’s Mousa and Mubarak Shanan qualified to the quarterfinals of the doubles event after their victory over Thomas Fan cut off Australia and AmirvalaMadanchi of Ireland.

 

Moreover, Abdullah Shanan of Qatar and Juan David Ramirez of Colombia outclassed Ameur Ben Hassen of Tunisia and Issa Shanan of Qatar to qualify to the quarterfinals.

 

 

The QTF Assistant Secretary General Tariq Zainal stressed that the Futures tournaments will help prepare the Qatari players for Davis Cup.

 

“The Qatari players did their best in the tournament and tried to benefit from its matches, so we wish them all success in the second edition to begin today” said Tariq Zainal.
