Four Qatari players qualified to the third round of Qatar Asian Junior Championship organized by the Qatar Tennis Federation in cooperation with Asian Tennis Federation at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex with participation of 60 players.
Ali Al Yafei qualified to the third round after beating Syed Hasan Ali of Great Britain 6-2 6-0 while Rashed Nawaf edged past Leo Hsu of Chinese Taipei 6-0 6-0.
Nasser Al Yafei defeated Akaash De Silva of Sri Lanka 6-2 6-0 while Meshari Nawaf beat Cameron Breheny of Great Britain 6-0 6-0.
The championship brings together a number of Team Qatar players including Nasser Al Yafei, Ali Al Yafei, Rashed Nawaf, Meshari Nawaf, Hend Al Modhahka, Mashael Al Khenji, Sheikha Khalifa and Fay Al Boloshi.
It worth mentioning that Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf claimed the title of ITF Asia 14 & Under Closed Championships held last week.
