A successful conclusion to the 1st Qatar ITF Junior Open

The first edition of the Qatar ITF Junior Open concluded its matches at the Khalifa International Complex, hosted by the Qatar Tennis Federation with broad international participation.

Russian player Igor Sherbakov clinched the Boys' singles title, with German player Victor Kimball securing the second position.

In the Boys' doubles competition, the Uzbek duo Bakhti Yurov and Abdulaziz Osmongonov emerged victorious, while the Qatari-Lebanese pair of Meshari Nawaf and Anthony Makhlouf claimed the second position.

In the Girls' singles category, Chinese player San Axiran claimed the championship title, with Galla Ivanovich securing the second position.

In the Girls' doubles competition, the team of Vladislava Gorileva and Anna Perlman secured the first position.

The awards ceremony was overseen by Mr. Tariq Zainal, the General Secretary of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Badminton, and Table Tennis Federation, in the presence of tennis enthusiasts.

Mr. Zainal commented, "Congratulations to all the winners of this championship, and we wish better luck to the remaining participants in the upcoming events. We witnessed strong competition throughout the week, adding more momentum to this championship."

He added, "Hosting this championship aligns with the federation's policy of supporting Qatari players and assisting them in gaining more experience and progressing further towards professionalism."
