The Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2024 has been crowned as the Best ATP 250 Tournament for the sixth time, having previously received this prestigious recognition in 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
Russian player Karen Khachanov clinched the singles title in this year’s edition, while the doubles title went to the duo of Britain’s Jamie Murray and New Zealand’s Michael Venus.
The tournament is set to elevate its status to the ATP 500 category for the 2025 edition, marking a historic upgrade after more than three decades. This move reflects the tournament's distinguished reputation and consistent success over the years.
Tournament Director Karim Alami expressed his pride, stating, “We are delighted to win the Best ATP 250 Tournament award for the sixth time. This achievement is the result of the organizing committee's unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional sporting experience for both players and tennis fans.”
He added, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to ExxonMobil Qatar, the title sponsor, for their continued support over the years. They have been a key partner in our journey toward excellence. I also thank the players for their trust and votes, which reflect the tournament's esteemed status in the world of tennis.”
Alami emphasized that the Qatar Tennis Federation is dedicated to ensuring an extraordinary experience with the tournament’s upgrade to the ATP 500 category, aiming to build on its remarkable legacy in the coming years.
The 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open, now an ATP 500 tournament, will take place from February 17 to 22 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, featuring some of the world’s brightest tennis stars.
Leading the lineup is Italian player Jannik Sinner, the world’s top-ranked player, alongside global icon Novak Djokovic, making the upcoming edition one of the most anticipated events on the ATP calendar.
