Anthony Genov of Bulgaria claimed the title of Boys Event at the 1st Qatar ITF Junior Open 2018 organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) in cooperation with the International Tennis Federation at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
In the finals held on Saturday, Anthony Genov edged past Piotr Pawlak of Poland 7-5 6-1.
On the other hand, Estonia’s Katriin Saar hoisted the trophy of Girls Event after her 6-4 6-7(1) 6-3 victory over Mingqiao Yang of China.
In Boys Doubles Event, Piotr Pawlak of Poland and Marat Sharipov of Russia defeated Alexandros Roumpis of Germany and Mann Shah of India 7-6(4) 5-7 [10-6] to claim the title.
Finally, Na Dong of China and Lilly Elida Haseth of Norway emerged victorious in Girls Double Event following their 6-2 6-4 victory over the Italian duo of Matilde Mariani and Matilde Paoletti .
The QTSBF Secretary General Tariq Zainal and Director of Local Tournaments Sultan Khalfan attended the medal ceremony.
