Curtains come down on Qatar Local Tennis Tournament

The ninth edition of Qatar Local Tennis Tournament was concluded on Sunday at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
Organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF), the event featured the participation of 250 Qatari and foreign players.
Tariq Zainal, the QTSBF Secretary General, Khalid Al Khelaifi, the QTSBF Board Member and Head of National Teams Committee and Sultan Khalfan, the Tournament Director crowned the winners.

John David Ramirez claimed the title of Men’s Singles Event after beating Qatar’s Mousa Shanan in the final match.
Sarah Meghoufel overpowered Maryana Ramirez in the final match of Ladies Event to claim the title.

In Men’s Doubles Event, Renaldo Amazon and Cliff Acaso clinched the top spot following their victory over John David Ramirez and Hicham Yaqoubi.
Robi Lu Santos and Area Soksmorb won Ladies Doubles title while Abdulmalik Qassim won Veterans Event.
In Boys Under 14 Years Doubles Event, Qatar’s Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and Rashid Saeed Nayef claimed the title after beating Adel Khan and Ananatharaman in the final match.

Rashid Saeed Nayef won boys under 14 event. In the final match, Rashid trounced Mohammad Ameral 6-0 6-0.
In Girls Under 14 Years Event, Saravanty Eyn took the first place ahead of Andrea Satharland in the second place.
Qatar’s Al Yafaie and Turky Al Abdullah led the standings of Boys Under 12 Years Doubles Event ahead of Mostafa Nabil and Zaid Al Mashni in second place.

Arwa Keshk won Girls Under 12 Years Event after beating Qatar’s Sarah Al Qaeet in the final match.
In Boys Under 18 Years Event, Hamad Nayef Saeed edged out Mohammad Aziz Elaiwa in the final match.
Abdullah Al Mahboub won Boys Under 10 Years Event “Red Category” while Abdulaziz Al Muftah finished second.

Jawharah Al Thani claimed the title of Girls Under 10 Years Event “Orange Category” after beating Al Noud Al Thani in the final match.
Hamza Al Sayed clinched the title of Boys Under 10 Years Event (Green Stage) following his straight-set victory over Victor Harman.
In doubles event, Yousef Al Abdullah and Mohamad Zainal edged out Khalid Al Khelaifi and Fahad Al Khelaifi in the final match.
Tariq Zainal, the QTSBF Secretary General congratulated the winners and stressed that the players showed a widely-praised performance during the matches.

“The tournament will help the federation to brings its vision into reality and to promote tennis in the state of Qatar.” Tareq Zainal said.
