The first training camp for Asian junior tennis players under 14 years was concluded at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Sunday.
The five-day training camp was organized in cooperation with the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) and under the umbrella of International Tennis Federation (ITF).
Saad Al Mohannadi, Executive Director of Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) honoured the players who participated in the training camp.
The training camp brought together 20 players including six Qatari players.
Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf, Meshari Nawaf, Al Saadi, Nasser Al Yafei, Fay Al Boloushi and Sheikha Khalifa participated in the training camp held under the supervision of Renato Vavassori, supervisor of the National Training Centers and Amir Borghei, Development Officer for West and Central Asia.
Renato Vavassori stressed the importance of the training camp in preparing the players for the upcoming Asian tournament to begin this week and added that the training camp focused lights on some tactical and mental aspects of tennis in addition to other physical side of the game.
For his part, Amir Borghei said “We are proud of working once again with International Tennis Federation which used to organize four training camp yearly”
