The first training camp for Asian junior tennis players under 14 years will begin at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Tuesday.
To conclude on November 03, training camp is organized in cooperation with the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) and under the umbrella of International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The training camp brings together 20 Asian players in addition to 6 other Qatar players from our national U14 team.
Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf, Meshari Nawaf, Al Saadi, Nasser Al Yafei, Fay Al Boloushi and Sheikha Khalifa will participate in the training camp to be held under the supervision of Renato Vavassori, supervisor of the National Training Centers and Amir Borghei, Development Officer for West and Central Asia.
The training camp, which comes in light of the preparation for Qatar Asian U14 Tournament to begin next week, will focus lights on some tactical and mental aspects of tennis in addition to another physical side of the game.
Khalid Al Khelaifi, Board Member of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation and head of National Teams Committee said” It is our pleasure to welcome the Asian players who will participate in the training camp which underlines our strategy to develop tennis in Asia in cooperation with ATF and ITF.”
Al Khelaifi added that training camp will provide the Qatari players with opportunity to acquire more experience and step their preparation for Qatar Asian Tournament to be held next week.
