Portugal’s Goncalo Oliveira claimed the title of Qatar F4 Futures organized by the Qatar Tennis Federation in cooperation with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
In the final match, Goncalo Oliveira defeated Russia’s Aslan Karatsev 6-3 7-5 .
Moreover, the Russian duo of Alexander Igoshin and Evgenii Tiurnev won doubles event following their 7-6(12) 6-3 victory over Portugal’s Goncalo Oliveira and Bernardo Saraiva
Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) and Saad Al Mohannadi, the QTSBF Executive Director and Tournament Director crowned the winners.
The QTSBF Executive Director Saad Al Mohannadi said “We are proud of the success made at Qatar F4 Futures and level of competition among the players who selected Doha as a destination to participate in this category of tournaments.”
“The QTSBF is keen to do whatever does it takes to organize a successful tournament and maintain its high standards in all the tournaments it hosts” he added.
He also hailed the participation of Qatar’s Mubarak Shanan who qualified to the semifinals of doubles event and wished the best for all the Qatari players at Qatar F5 Futures.
