Mubarak Al Sulaiti qualifies to quarterfinals of Qatar ITF Junior Open 2018

Qatar’s Mubarak Al Sulaiti qualified to the quarterfinals of boys’ doubles event at the 2nd Qatar ITF Junior Open 2018 on Wednesday.

The event is organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation until March 31, 2018.

Mubarak Al Sulaiti teamed up with Victor Paganetti of France to beat Athanassios Drakos of Germany and Nishad Kalluri of USA 6-3 7-5 in the second round.

In the quarterfinals, they will clash against Piotr Pawlak of Poland and Marat Sharipov of Russia.

On the other hand, Qatar’s Mubaraka Al Naimi and Lola Marandel of France will take on Na Dong of China and Lilly Elida Haseth of Norway in the quarterfinals of girls doubles event.

Also, in girls’ doubles, Matilde Mariani and Matilde Paoletti of Italy qualified to the quarterfinals after their 6-2 3-6 [10-3] victory over the Chinese duo of Jing Yang Mingqiao Yang.

The event brings together young tennis players from Italy, Estonia, India, China, and Hosts Qatar.

Rayyan Al Jefairi, Ghanim Al Khelaifi, Mubarak Al Sulaiti, Hamad Al Mohannadi, Amna Homoud and Mubaraka Al Naimi are representing the state of Qatar in this tournament.

The tournaments provides the players with opportunity to take their first steps in their professional careers.
