The preliminary rounds of Qatar Men’s ITF World Tennis Tour 2019 will begin at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Monday. The event is organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) in cooperation with the International Tennis Federation.
The preliminary rounds will feature the participation of 24 players fighting for 8 places in the main draw of the event to begin on Tuesday.
Qatar’s Mohammed Al Khenji will participate in the preliminary rounds while Mousa Shanan will play in the main rounds.
The QTSBF used to organize this tournament to provide the Qatari players with opportunity to acquire more experience as the points of the tournament help them improve their world ranking.
The QTSBF Executive Director Saad Al Mohannadi said, “The tournament comes in light of the QTSBF strategy to support the national team players and improve their skills through competing with young professional players from all over the world.”
Al Mohannadi stressed that the QTSBF plans and programs reflect its commitment to provide the Qatari players with all potentials to raise the Qatari flag high at international events.
