The preliminary rounds of Qatar Men’s ITF World Tennis Tour will begin at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex today.
Held under the umbrella of International Tennis Federation, the tournament brings together a huge number of players from all over the world in addition to the national teams’ players who were given wild cards by the federation.
The tournament features the participation of Qatar’s Mubarak Shanan, Mousa Shanan, and Jabor Al Mutawa.
The Men’s ITF World Tennis Tour allow players to win career titles and improve their rankings, so they can level up to participate in ATP World Tour.
The Tournament Director Saad Al Mohannadi said, “We pleased to host the Men’s ITF World Tennis Touronce again and to welcome the young players who used to choose Doha as their favorite destination.”
“This tournament is the first step in the career of any player as the ITF has modified its regulations to provide the players with the opportunity to get more ranking points.” He added.
