The 2018 Qatar ExxonMobil National Teams Tennis Championship, organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF), was concluded on Wednesday at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The championship featured the participation of 55 players.
The QTSBF Secretary-General Tariq Zainal, Vice President and Government Affairs Director for ExxonMobil Qatar Salah Al Mana, the Championship Director Sultan Khalfan and Deputy Chairman of the QTSBF National Teams Committee Ibrahim Al Khelaifi attended the medal ceremony.
During the ceremony, Tariq Zainal handed over the QTSBF commemorative Shield to Salah Al Mana in recognition of the company’s support to the Qatari sport in general and Tennis in particular.
Ghanim Al Sulaiti claimed the title of boys under 12 years event while Sultan Al Malki finished second.
In the boys under 14 event , Mashary Nawaf took the gold medal while Meshal Al Khenji came in the second place.
Rayyan al Jefairi won the title of boys under 18 event after beating Ali Al Saadi in the final match.
In the girls under 18 event, Mubaraka Al Naimi captured the title followed by Salima Wali in the second place.
In the girls under 10 event, Safia Al-Thani won the title and Mashael Al Khenji finished second.
In the boys under 10 event, Abdullah Al Mahmoud won first place ahead of Abdulaziz Miftah in the second place.
Khadija Qasma won girls under 10 years event (Green Stage) while Zahra Al Linqawi settled in the second place.
In boys under 10 years event (Orange Stage), Rashed Al Hamadi hoisted the trophy and Hamad Ahmad finished second.
Moza Al Malki claimed the title of girls under 10 years event (Red Stage) while Maryam Al Thani took the second place.
The QTSBF Secretary General Tariq Zainal congratulated the winners, expressing hope to continue bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the development of tennis in Qatar.
Vice President and Government Affairs Director for ExxonMobil Qatar Salah Al Mana said that the QTSBF is doing an excellent job in supporting the next generation of Qatari tennis players, and is constantly seeking to offer great opportunities to train these rising stars and develop their talents by providing the right training programs.
Al Mana added Qatar ExxonMobil National Teams Tennis Championship is a great example of QTSBF work to support young people and realize their dreams in tennis, as well as teaching them the benefits of healthy lifestyles.
