The prestigious Qatar ExxonMobil Open has continued to garner global accolades with the latest being its recognition as the 2019 Tournament of the Year in the 250 points category by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
The latest announcement makes it the third time in five years the tournament, held annually at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha, will be scooping the award having previously won it in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
The Tournament of the Year awards voted annually by ATP players, recognise the leading standards set across the three tournament categories on the Tour.
Now in its 28th year, the hugely popular Qatar ExxonMobil Open has consistently featured a host of the top-ranked players and the competition also has the highest prize money in its category which helps add more coverage from regional and international broadcasters.

It worth mentioning that ATP announced Doha (250 points), Acapulco (500 points) Indian Wells (1000 points) as the best tournaments in 2019.
