The fourth edition of QTF & Al-Majed Tennis Open Tournament will be concluded on Sunday at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
The closing ceremony of the tournament will be held after the final match to be staged at 5pm.
QTF & Al Majed Tournament is one the local open tournaments on which the federation depend to develop tennis in the state of Qatar.
Mousa Shanan claimed the title of Men’s event after beating Philip Farger in the final match.
Mubarka Al Naimi hoisted the trophy of women’s event while Hend Al Modhaka won girls under 12 years event.
Khalid Al Khelaifi, Board Member of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation and Chairman of National Teams Committee, said “We are delighted with success of this event which we share with Al Majed Group. QTF & Al Majed tournament continues to develop a year after year to be one of the main tournaments on our agenda”
Jamil al Majed, Vice Chairman of Al Majed Group stressed that supporting this event comes as a part of their strategy to support the Qatari sport.
Al Majed said that the group is proud of the cooperation with the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation to develop tennis in the state of Qatar in light of the unlimited support of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The tournament brought together 250 players who have competed in different age groups including boys and girls under 8, 9, 12, 14, and 18 years in addition to Men’s, Women’s and Veteran’s categories.
