The QTF Tennis Junior Open will be concluded at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Sunday.
The tournament brings together 250 players who compete in different age groups including boys and girls under 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 18 years.
Qatar’s Adel Ghanim and Turkey Al Majed qualified to the final of boys under 14 years doubles event where they will take on the other Qatari duo of Nasser al Motawa and Ghanim Al Sulaiti.
In girls under 14 years event, Qatar’s Sheikha Khalifa will shake hands with her compatriot Fay Al Boloushi in final match.
On the other hand, Qatar’s Hend Al Modhaihki cruised to the final match of girls under 12 years event.
The QTSBF Board Member and Head of National Teams Committee Khalid al Khelaifi said, “It was an exciting week which featured a very strong competition among the participating players.”
“The tournament will help promote Tennis in the state of Qatar as it used to feature wide participation from Qatar’s national teams” al Khelaifi added.
Al Khelaifi also stressed that federation is keen to organize this a year after year and hailed the contribution of the national companies and institution in the development of sport in general and tennis in particular.
