The coaching course being organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) for its coaches in cooperation with “inspire2coach” academy began in Doha on Monday.
The four-day course is attended by 27 coaches, with the British coach Mark Tenant as the key lecturer.
The course program includes some theoretical and practical sessions which focus lights on unifying the training curriculum targeting the tennis 10s players. The course will also help the coaches develop a comprehensive coaching plan for players under 12 and 14 years old.
The course comes in the light of the federation’s strategy to organize the training courses for its coaches to help them cope with the modern trends of tennis coaching.
On this occasion, Mark Tenant said “This course is a continuation for the previous courses organized by the federation in cooperation with inspire2coach” academy to improve the level of coaching targeting the players under 12 and 14 years old”.
“The course will also build upon the positive results achieved by the previous courses which were reflected in the performance of the players in the GCC Championship.” He added.
