The tennis officiating course “ level 1” organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton (QTSBF) at the Khalifa International Tennis and squash complex, was concluded on Monday.
The officiating course brought together 25 trainees where Ashraf Hamouda, Head of Officiating at the QTSFB delivered its lectures.
The training course focused lights on the rules of the game and duties of chair and line umpires.
Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the QTSBF and Head of Officiating Committee said “The role of the federation is not limited in developing the skills of players but is also includes supporting the other sides of the games including officials and coaches”
“we are keen on organizing the training courses for all those who want to learn the rules of tennis officiating as we aim at increasing the numbers of tennis officials in the state of Qatar” he added.
Zainal also stressed that the federations spares no effort to develop and promote tennis in the state of Qatar.
