The preliminary rounds of Qatar F4 Futures has begun at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Saturday. The event is organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) in cooperation with the International Tennis Federation until December 09.
The two-day preliminary rounds will feature 48 players fighting for 8 places in the main draw of the event to begin on Monday.
This is the first futures to be organized in Doha this month as the QTSBF will host two more events later this month with a prize money of 15.000 for each event.
The QTSBF provided some Qatari players with wild cards to participate in the preliminary and main rounds of the tournament including Musa, Mubarak, Essa Shanan and Rayane Alami
The QTSBF used to organize this tournament to provide the Qatari players with opportunity to acquire more experience as the points of the tournament help them improve their world ranking.
The QTSBF Executive Director Saad Al Mohannadi said, “The futures tournament comes in light of the QTSBF strategy to support the national team players and improve their skills through competing with young professional players from all over the world.”
Al Mohannadi stressed that the QTSBF plans and programs reflects its commitment to provide the Qatari players with all potentials to raise the Qatari flag high at international events.
