Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf qualified to the final match of the 2019 Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship in Florida, USA.
In the semifinals, Nawaf defeated Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez 7-5 7-5 to set a final showdown with Nishesh Basavareddy.
In his route to the final, the Qatari player edged past Lennon Jones in the quarterfinals, Nikita Filin in last 16 round and Benjamin Kreynes in the last 32 round.

This globally recognized event brings together over 1,500 of the top-ranked male and female 12-and-under and 14-and-under junior players representing more than 76 countries
Over the past 56 years, tennis legends such as Chris Evert, Jimmy Conners, Mary Joe Fernandez, Monica Seles, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have showcased their athletic talent as well as current pros, Caroline Wozniacki, Genie Bouchard, Maria Sharapova, Sloane Stevens, Roger Federer, Juan Martin del Potro, Kei Nishikori, and Andy Murray.
