Rashed Nawaf wins Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris Tournament

Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf claimed the title of Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris Tennis Tournament for Juniors under 14 years held in Stockholm, Sweden recently.

In the final match, Rashed Nawaf Qatar defeated Russia’s Yaroslav Demin 6-1 6-0 to be first Qatari players to win this tournament in its 119 years history.

In his route to the final, Nawaf defeated Nicolas Philibert of Great Britain 6-2 6-4 in the first round, then he edged past Croatia’s Patrik Jurina 6-4 6-2 in the second round.

In the third round, Nawaf stunned Albert Saar of Sweden 6-2 6-2 before beating Maxim Zhukov in the quarterfinals

In the semifinals, Nawaf defeated Serbia’s Aleksa Pisaric 7-5 4-6 6-1/

Qatar’s Rashed Nawaf said that he is proud of winning this tournament and stressed that will he will do what ever does it takes to follow his dream and raise high Qatar’s flag in international tournaments.

Rashed Nawaf who joined Mouratoglou Tennis Academy has made some huge achievements in his junior careers as he finished second in Les Petits As Tournament in France early this year.

Nawaf also claimed the titles of singles and doubles event at GCC Tennis Tournament under 14 years held in Oman and Arab Tennis Tournament under 14 years in Tunisia alongside his successful participation in world Tennis cup under 14 years.
