The competitions of the 27th NBK Ramadan Tennis Championship continued in style at the courts of Doha Sheraton Hotel, Al Danah Club and Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The event is held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser bin Khaled Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani Holding Group and under the supervision of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation.
The championship brings together 250 players including Sheikh Hassan bin Khalid Al Thani and Sheikh Mohammad bin Ahmad Al Thani.
The 27th edition also features the participation of national teams players including Mubarak Shanan, Mousa Shanan, Essa Shanan and Jabor Al Motawa.
Qatar’s Ali Al Yafaie qualified to the second round of boys under 12 years category after beating Ian Shodry in straight sets.
Turkey Al Majed also reached the second round of the same category following his 2-0 victory over Sultan Al Jusaiman.
Also in the same category, Qatar’s Ghanim Al Sulaiti made it to the second round after beating Abdullah Al Ghazal in straight sets.
In girls under 10 years category, Mashael Al Khenji qualified to the final of match after beating Safiya Al Thani in the semifinals.
Jawhara Al Thani reached the semifinals of girls under 9 years category following her 2-0 victory over Danah Al Sheikh.
Nojod Al Thani cruised to the semifinals of the same category after beating Lara Al Behaidi in straight sets.
Also in the same category, Anoud Al Thani defeated Lina Khaled to qualify to the semifinals.
